This photographic essay on military monuments has as its intent to increase the viewers` appreciation of the sculptor`s art. I do this by taking abstracted images from their three-dimensional creations-at angles not ordinarily seen by the viewer-and placing them in two- dimensional forms. I believe that with this method, the effect of the sculptures is intensified by directing the viewers to aspects that may be hidden at first glance.

I have always had great reverence for the sacrifices made by the men and women of our Armed Forces.Their accomplishments must be made relevant to present and future generations of Americans, so that their contributions to the nation`s collective consciousness is not forgotten.
